Can't play it since it's PS3 qq.
I remember a preview on this at some point, does it still have the turn based combat or was it slightly different somehow, can't remember..

Sort of turn based. Same controls but not turn based. The enemy keeps attacking. The quicker you are the quicker you can attack.

That's actually quite new, especially for a j-RPG.
Glad to see they kinda dropped the regular Turn based combat. That was probably my main reason not to get into most FF games.

I like the new Battle style you get at around 3 hours. Also the levelling system is pretty sweet.
